Our Amritsar food stops included Giani Tea Stall and Brijwasi Chaat. At Giani, we had tea, samosa and fresh paneer pakora during a casual family visit.
Giani Tea Stall
At Giani Tea Stall, we tried tea, samosa and paneer pakora. I liked the freshness of the paneer and the tea. The seating arrangement could be better, especially when the shop is busy.

Brijwasi Chaat
We also had Brijwasi Chaat as part of the same old-city snack route.
Vegetarian, vegan and kid notes
Giani Tea Stall was pure vegetarian during our visit. Vegan options are not confirmed because tea, paneer and some snacks include dairy. For kids, the main note is spice level; snacks can be spicy.
Nearby tip
This part of Amritsar is easier to cover by rickshaw and walking. Seating at small food stops can be limited, so it is better to keep the plan flexible.
Related Amritsar notes
This fits well with the Amritsar one-day food travel route, Pahalwan and Jalebiyaan Wala, and Kesar Da Dhaba.
