We stopped at Northern Republic in Euroa while travelling between Benalla and Melbourne. The restaurant is set in a restored old flour mill, and I really liked the atmosphere. It is a lovely place to sit down for a meal rather than just grab something on the road.
We tried a vegetarian pizza topped with broccoli, mushrooms, greens and olives, along with a pear and walnut salad, chips and vanilla ice cream. The ingredients tasted very fresh, which made a difference to the food. The pizza was nice, and the ice cream was good too.
What we tried
Vegetarian pizza
Our pizza had broccoli, mushrooms, greens, olives and cheese. I liked the combination and the freshness of the toppings. It was a good pizza without being overly complicated.

Pear and walnut salad
We also had a salad with mixed leaves, sliced pear, walnuts and finely grated cheese. It was a fresh accompaniment to the pizza.

Chips and vanilla ice cream
We ordered a bowl of thick-cut chips and finished with vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was good and rounded off the meal nicely.

Vegetarian options
As usual, the vegetarian options were limited compared with the rest of the menu. There was enough for us to put together a meal, but it is not a place with a huge vegetarian selection. What stood out more was the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
Would we visit again?
Yes, if we were passing through Euroa. The vibe was very good, the pizza was nice and we enjoyed the ice cream. It is a good stopover once in a while when travelling through this part of regional Victoria.
