Half Moon Cafe Coburg – One of Our Favourite Falafel Spots

Half Moon Cafe in Coburg is one of our all-time favourites and one of the best places for falafel. The falafel is consistently fresh, crisp and full of flavour, which is the main reason we keep going back.

The platter comes with a really fresh mix of salad, pickles and dips, along with falafel, fried cauliflower and eggplant. It is a decent amount for two people to share. If I were eating on my own, I would usually go for a wrap instead.

We have also tried their ful medames made with fava beans. It is perfectly decent, but given the choice I still prefer the falafel platter.

The menu is fairly limited, but the food feels fresh and focused. Seating is mainly outdoors with tables, chairs and umbrellas, so I would avoid planning a visit on a rainy day. There is also ample parking around the nearby shopping centre.
