Brother Bon Northcote: Vegan Lunch We’d Go Back For

We went to Brother Bon in Northcote for lunch and really enjoyed the food. It is a fully vegan restaurant, so there was plenty to choose from without having to look through the menu for vegetarian options.

We ordered the Vietnamese fried rice with tofu and Pad Thai with tofu. Both were generous serves with plenty of vegetables and tofu, and we enjoyed both dishes.

For our kid, we kept it simple and ordered a portion of fries, which worked well alongside our meal.

What we tried

  • Vietnamese fried rice with tofu
  • Pad Thai with tofu
  • Fries for the kid

Overall, this was a good find for us. The food was good, there were plenty of plant-based choices, and it is somewhere we would happily visit again.

One practical tip: book ahead during peak hours. It can get busy, especially around weekend lunch and dinner times.

Would we visit again?

Yes. Good food, lots of vegan choices and an easy place to visit as a family.
